Walk-In Urgent Care for Everyday Health Needs

Care is provided by the EnCare Clinical Team. Your visit starts with the concern that brought you in, followed by an exam and any testing that can help clarify the problem.

Many common illnesses, minor injuries, and everyday medical needs can be handled right here in the office. If your symptoms or injury require care beyond what can safely be provided at EnCare MD, we will explain that clearly and help you understand the appropriate next step.

Important

Walk-in availability applies specifically to Urgent Care. Interventional Pain Management, Infusion Medicine, and Post-Acute Pain & Recovery are separate, appointment-based services.

Urgent Care Attention

Care for Common Illnesses and Everyday Health Concerns

Sometimes the cause of your symptoms is fairly clear. Other times, several conditions can feel very similar. A cough could come from a viral illness or bronchitis, for example, while certain symptoms may warrant evaluation for pneumonia. Urinary discomfort may point to an uncomplicated UTI, but testing can help clarify what is happening.
We evaluate concerns such as:
The goal is to understand the likely cause of your symptoms, treat what can be handled in the office, and give you clear guidance about any follow-up you may need.

Minor Injuries, Wounds, and Office Procedures

A minor injury can still make it difficult to work, exercise, sleep, or simply get through the day comfortably.

EnCare MD evaluates sprains, strains, muscle spasms, and selected uncomplicated fractures. When imaging can help clarify an injury, digital X-rays are available in the office. Splinting or bracing can also be provided when appropriate.

We also care for cuts and lacerations, minor burns, wounds that need follow-up care, minor abscesses, and selected foreign objects in the skin. Appropriate wounds can be closed with sutures, staples, or skin adhesive, and patients can return for suture or staple removal when needed.

The first step is determining how serious the injury is. If the exam shows that you need a different type of treatment, we will tell you clearly rather than trying to manage something that belongs in another care setting.

On-Site Testing
and Imaging

Having diagnostic services available in the office can make it easier to move from wondering what is wrong to having a practical plan.

Depending on your symptoms and exam, testing may include digital X-ray, focused point-of-care ultrasound, rapid COVID-19, flu and strep testing, selected STI testing, urinalysis, pregnancy testing, blood draws and reference-laboratory testing, and EKGs.

Testing is used when it can help clarify what is causing your symptoms or guide treatment. Not every visit requires a lab test, image, or EKG.

Physicals and Preventive Visits

You can also visit EnCare MD for focused preventive services, including general wellness physicals, school physicals, sports physicals, and Pap smears.

These visits are centered on the exam or screening you came in for. Ongoing management of chronic conditions should continue with the clinician who knows your longer-term health history.

Walk In or Schedule a Visit

Walk-ins and scheduled appointments are both welcome for Urgent Care, and no referral is required.

Whether you need help with a new illness, a minor injury, a wound, testing, or a physical, the aim is simple: leave with a clearer understanding of what is happening and a practical plan for what comes next.

Medical emergency?

Urgent Care is intended for non-life-threatening medical needs. For chest pain, severe shortness of breath, uncontrolled bleeding, signs of stroke, or another potentially life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
